Location
Located just beside Regent's Park and Harley Street in the heart
of London, The London Clinic is in an ideal setting. Well served by
the London Underground and on many major bus routes, the shops,
sights and attractions of Oxford Street and the West End are only
minutes away.
For those who like peace and quiet, the wide-open spaces of
Regent's Park and the Clinic's own private garden at Park Square
West make a perfect place to relax during breaks.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available for nursing staff. The London
Clinic's own nursing accommodation building offers self-contained
accommodation with bright and modern facilities and is located
close to the Clinic, next to Regent's Park.
Training and development
The Clinic is proud to be an accredited 'Investor in People'.
Our training and development programme reflects our commitment to
developing our staff so that all can contribute to the Clinic's
high standards of care, service and corporate values.
In-house training
We provide a range of training, supported by excellent
facilities and equipment in our training suite at Park Square West.
Courses include clinical skills training, management development,
IT skills, mandatory health and safety training, and general
training such as customer care.
On joining the Clinic all staff attend a comprehensive corporate
induction programme, including clinical and non-clinical
programmes, which is supplemented by individual department
induction and mentoring programmes.
Our training sessions are developed in light of the most
recent information and research, and in context of national
frameworks and standards.
Staff training and education fund
The London Clinic values excellence and believes that staff
development is critical to the success of the organisation. To
support the development of our staff, funding is available for
professional and vocational qualifications relevant to our business
needs. These range from NVQs and CPD courses, to higher degrees and
diplomas.
Study leave to attend external lectures is available as part of
the support for these programmes and the staff training and
education fund is accessible to both clinical and non-clinical
staff.
Students
The Clinic is a provider of pre-registration practice experience
for nursing and radiography students. Our commitment to the support
and development of students is ensured through the provision of
qualified mentoring and an environment conducive to learning.
Our close affiliation with City University has seen us heavily
involved in the innovative Communities of Practice scheme for
pre-registration education. The Clinic also offers ad-hoc
programmes for students in pathology, pharmacy and
physiotherapy.
