Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is a treatment modality which utilizes the properties of water to rehabilitate patients with a wide range of conditions.

 

At The London Clinic the exercise programmes are prescribed by a team of enthusiastic chartered physiotherapists to meet the specific needs of each patient.

 

Hydrotherapy can be used effectively for:

-the early rehabilitation of surgical and non weight-bearing patients

-the relief of pain and muscle spasm

-the maintenance or improvement of joint range of movement

-the strengthening of weak muscles

-the improvement of exercise tolerance

-the re-education of muscle function

-the stimulation of circulation

-the promotion of functional activities

-the facilitation of balance, coordination and posture

-the development of self-confidence

 

The hydrotherapy department at The London Clinic strives to deliver a comprehensive and efficient service. It promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and it supports the continued professional development of its staff. We endeavour to accommodate patients with special needs and to devise appropriate exercise programmes within the parameters of any prescribed protocol of the referring physician or surgeon.

 

The hydrotherapy department is open 9:00 – 17:00 during week days. We have changing and shower facilities to accommodate your every need. The duration of all hydrotherapy appointments are 30 minute under close supervision of a qualified chartered physiotherapist.
