Diagnosis Our diagnostic tests can assess
a broad range of variables relating to all types of eye
conditions.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is used in the diagnosis of
glaucoma and retinal disease, by examining the retinal thickness
and structure.
Fluorescein and Indocyanine Green Angiography provide images
that allow our consultants to monitor age-related macular
degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Visual field analysis is used to test peripheral vision,
especially with patients who have glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmic
disorders.
Biometry is the pre-operative
calculation of the strength of lens implant that will give an eye
normal focus after cataract surgery.

Anti-VEGF Injections

| Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) |
- Photodynamic Therapy is a treatment used for
patients suffering from wet age-related macular
degeneration. PDT is a combination of an intra
venous drug infusion and laser treatment that aims
to slow the progression of vision loss.

| YAG and Retinal Lasers |
- The Clinic offers a full range of anterior segment and
posterior segment lasers, for conditions such as
capsular opacificiation, glaucoma, diabetic
retinopathy
and macular degeneration.

Ophthalmic surgery is performed in our main theatre operating
suite and also in our modern specially designed Day Surgery /
Minimally Invasive Therapy Unit (MITU).

General Medical Council Specialist Register and most sub-specialise
in particular eye conditions, giving them in-depth knowledge and
