Advanced equipment benefits
We have two Siemens Sensation 16 slice Helical scanners and a GE
1.5 tesla Signa scanner in the radiology service. We use
state-of-the-art imaging techniques, providing exemplary diagnostic
and treatment tools for many specialties at The London Clinic,
including oncology,
neurology, gynaecology and ENT.
Many of these techniques are quite advanced, such as
calcium scoring of the coronary vessels for early detection of
calcification within the arteries of the heart. Bone densitometry, or
dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), determines the risk of
osteoporosis and the success of osteoporosis treatments.
Appointments
In order to proceed with a booking, patients must have a signed
request form from either their GP or a consultant.
All radiology reports are written on the same day and delivered
within 24 hours.
